External Audit

The audit is now starting on the 15th March 2010. If you have a statement to make to the auditor, please use the contact form on the website to contact the THLA and the auditor

On Thursday December 11th the THLA executive met the lead member for housing, Cllr Marc Francis, to agree the procedures for commissioning an external audit of the leaseholder service charge.

The THLA is convening its own leaseholder working group to consider the following:

1. Selection of an auditor

2. The way to mange the auditor
3. The remit of the auditor

   We must get this right in order to guarantee the independence, the integrity and the efficacy of the process.

   The THLA urges as many leaseholders as possible to be involved in this in depth investigation of the accounting systems that are producing so many flawed service charge bills at the present time.
